My husband & I visited the Bear on a Saturday night. It was a buzzing atmosphere which was lovely to see as the Bear is our favourite pub in the village! We were greeted with a smile when we arrived and sat next to the table by the fire - which was stunning and very cozy. There was no rush to order, we enjoyed our first drink and then ordered our food. The food is exquisite! We had scotch egg, fish fingers, bear burger & brownie. With a taste of each course all was 10/10 and could not fault the food choice on the menu as it caters for everyone. All the service was second to none, nothing was too much trouble and everyone was all so friendly and knowledgeable you could really see the Bear has a “family” team and they really want to provide the best service. All the menu is reasonably priced for HOMEMADE food so I would definitely recommend to others. Thank you so much again! See you next time.
We popped in on the spur the moment for lunch and are very pleased we did. Sat in the garden near the lovely pond, we were taken care of very well with prompt service ordering, and our drinks arriving without any delay. The food was great, especially the bangers and mash. We’ll definitely be back again soon
We randomly found the Bear online and went for a spontaneous dinner after work. We were greeted by Jenna with a friendly smile and she was super accommodating all evening. She recommended the king prawn linguine and it was our favourite! The prawns were fresh and the hand pulled noodles soaked in all the chilli sauce! 10/10 -1 star for the apple crumble dessert, the apple filling was too liquidy and the crumble was too hard. But overall, we loved the chilled vibes sitting outside at the Bear and the amazing service from Jenna!
Absolutely delicious food, every single meal is worth trying. The chicken is tender, the greens veggies are soft and has still the taste besides being amazingly cooked. The noodles are handmade hence the softness, the waiters are super friendly and helpful in choosing and serving. The atmosphere is unique with a fireplace. Will definitely come back ofter

Really enjoyed the food. There was a great selection on the menu, and a children's menu also available. I found the dining room a bit too formal, but with slightly odd service. Would opt to eat in the main pub in future. Will definitely be returning.

The food was exceptional; every dish was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the evening even more enjoyable.
